Product Description

Golden pothos is a popular house plant well known for its long, trailing stems that can grow to 8 ft (2.4 m) or more. A tree-climber in its native tropical habitat, this plant has aerial roots that can be trained to climb a moss stick or trellis. It’s glossy, heart-shaped leaves emerge green and become variegated with yellow or white. Although this plant tolerates low light well, its leaves may lose their variegation. It will look its best in moderate or bright light. It makes an excellent office plant because it grows well under fluorescent lights. Place in a Well-draining potting mix. Feed every 2 weeks with houseplant fertilizer, once a month in winter.

I purchased this plant over a year ago and have been meaning to review it if there was any success. This was practically the first rooted plant I’d ever gifted myself. I love having fresh flowers around the house but I wanted something to call mine. I wanted to nurture, love, tend to, and raise my own plant. I was ready to take the next step into my womanhood... to become a Plant Mom. I was broke, but desperately needed a beautiful plant. Plants clean the air, they’re good for your mental health, and plants are refreshing to have in any house. I moved twice a year to anywhere and with anyone because that’s just how Craigslist arrangements work. So yes, I NEEDED this plant. I needed one stable thing in my life. Now, considering this was an Amazon plant, I didn’t expect it to last long. I didn’t even expect it to arrive in one piece. I expected it to be mangled on its last limb, soil everywhere in the box. But I was dedicated. I prepared myself. And, truthfully I chose to get an Amazon plant because if it died or rotted on my behalf, I wouldn’t feel so guilty or terrible because I spent just a few bucks on it. I was wrong about it all. This seller sent it in flawless condition. Packaging was on point (I have no idea where the sellers are located, maybe they’re in CA or Oregon and I got lucky) and it came with care instructions. It’s foliage was full and vibrant. Stems stronger than the marines. I loved this vine instantly. For the first 4-5 months I just left it in the plastic generic pot it came in, although the directions clearly said to repot it. I was broke, they were fine. They’d live to see another day. Many days actually. I saw significant growth in the first few months, and they didn’t give a damn what pot or soil they were in - they made sure to ROOT. They rooted like hell, I tell ya. The foliage took over the tiny pot that they arrived in and eventually I finally placed them in a bigger pot and changed the soil. From that day forward they have thrived like Kaiser. My beautiful plant has progressed so gracefully in the last year. She’s moved with me 3 times, has been there for me while ending one bad breakup and transitioning into a better one, and she’s my pride and joy every day. I will never give up on my plant. Sellers, thank you for giving me the chance to be a Plant Mom. I’ve since been inspired to become a Mother to 5 more plants, and she is by far still my favorite, most special one.
