Because it's thicker, this mat has lot more squish to it than many other anti-fatigue mats. It's very comfortable for standing on and is sized well for a standing desk, a workstation or even for use in a kitchen, basement or other areas where the floors are hard and you'll be doing a lot of standing in one area.There is a texture on the back of the mat that helps keep it from slipping around. The top of the mat is smooth and doesn't have any pattern or labeling on it. I've stood on this mat in athletic shoes, flats and heels and it's comfortable in all of them. The surface of the mat held up fine to me walking around in heels on it. She shoes didn't leave any indentations or cut into the mat's surface at all.It's pricey, but it's much thicker than similar mats. Works well to help prevent leg fatigue and very comfortable to stand on.
