This was the hardest thing I've ever put together in my life, geese, when I tell you it's just pictures in the book not good pictures, no instructions telling you how nothing goes, you basically figuring it on your own. Looking at the online pic making sure your stuff look like the picture, smh never will I buy anything like this again. Also I it's not allowing my pics to be uploaded but somebody had one job, put the pre scored holes in the right spot my latch is at the bottom so it won't close, smhIt is not completly up yet or used Will have to let you know. It is for Grandaughter. Son in law is a carpenter cabinet maker by trade and he had a tough time figureing it out. He's not done yet only because he is out of town.I bought this desk a few years ago, and I absolutely adore it. It has held up extremely well. It’s a great price and it’s a great item. It’s not too bulky on the wall, and it’s easy to open up. I have back problems and can put the desk down on my own without pain. The unit has the perfect amount of work space, and I like the storage inside of it. I have moved two times since I bought the desk, and it was easy to move. I didn’t even take my things out of it, I just shut it and set it in my truck! It’s easy to assemble. I recommend getting someone to give you a hand when you hang it up, but other than that it’s pretty easy to do yourself. I have never written on the blackboard, so I can’t say how it holds up if you’re using it, but I enjoy that it’s an option. I have pets and children, and was worried about how stable it would be on the wall, but it doesn’t budge! I anchored it, and haven’t had any problems with it. If something ever happens to this desk, I am 100% buying it again!Don’t recommend this product. I purchased it for my daughter’s birthday. She really liked the design. It came damaged and had to make repairs. Needed to use wood glue to make sure it will not fall apart. Would have wish I had returned it for refund. But my daughter really wanted it. So, I’m hoping the extra glue and repairs will hold up and not fall apart. .I loved the idea of the fold up desks but was worried they would not be high quality. I wish some of the hardware was a little higher quality, but they really look great and work well. I was a little surprised that the product descriptions said the desk can hold 50 lbs. and the shelves 20 lbs, but the directions didn't recommend installation into the stud, the desk is over 30 lbs. by itself and should absolutely be secured into a stud. Overall, not super high quality, but doing the job. We bought 2 and kids are thrilled with them or distance learning.Very easy to put together and install. I used some better screws than came in the package though and added 2 more to the bottom to secure better to the wall.I also wish it came with a more sturdy clasp.It works great though and my daughter loves it. It has helped tremendously to keep her room uncluttered and clean.The item was easy to put together but was kind of flimsy. I guess with this design it is expected to be a little flimsy. But, so far, works well.Do not lose your time buying and trying to put this together. The parts won't fit. Little wood parts to merge are broken. Dirty and reused parts, with stains of cleaning products, since this is returned all the time. The part that is supposed to stand to the floor don't go straight so it's impossible to use it. When you install screws the wood opens completely, since it looks old and humid. In other words, the wors product I have ever purchased in Amazon by far.
