I got this to go with my books on mental health because I thought it would be cool. First if I put the bookends together they don’t sit flush to one another, there is a gap between them. Second they are not heavy enough to hold books upright. EVERYDAY I find my books have fallen over and one bookend has tipped over. They aren’t even heavy books they are paperback books. I’m glad I haven’t put up my shelf that I wanted to store these on and that they are just sitting on a table because they all would have fallen off the shelf including the bookend. Now I have to find a new use for this item maybe I’ll turn it into a halloween decoration somehow.This is super cute and goes amazing on my desk in my office!These are great looking but they are not heavy/tall enough to hold up larger books. For my smaller chapter books and manuals they are very cool. For my larger text books, they slide off and the books fall.They’re just not heavy enough to actually hold books and the bottoms are slick. I’m going to get some rubber feet things for it and hope that helps. Looks cool though! My kids love them! If you’re looking for decorative they’re great! If you actually need them to hold up books… not so much!Gift for my younger brother- he’s extremely cooler and smarter than me. I thought it a great gift and he genuinely liked it.LOVE THESE BOOKEND.
