I really like this desk except for the following items. First, the packaging was very substandard. For example, the metal parts that are used for the shelving were in plastic bags, but none of the bags were taped shut allowing the metal parts to partially come out of the bags during shipping, which can and did cause minor damage to my desk. The wood parts had some covering, but again, not taped down and it partially came off of the shelves leaving it exposed. Second, the install instructions were pretty bad. No text instructions, just some very low-res drawings that had to be studied before assembly. There are two sets of shelves, one on each side of the desk. The instructions pictured the tall set of shelves on the left and the lower set of shelves on the right. I needed the tall shelves on the right side. I had to use those low-res drawings to figure out how to reverse that orientation. It would have been nice to have a clear and separate set of instructions for each orientation. I considered that a feature and there was no documentation describing how to reverse the shelves or even that they could be reversed. I would think that the manufacturer would have stressed that feature. It took extra time to figure out how to position the pieces to reverse the orientation. Over all, I like the desk. I just can’t figure out why a manufacturer would go through the process of making a nice desk and skimp on the packaging and the assembly instructions. I didn’t have any parts that didn’t line up properly as some have said, but I don’t screw the screws in all the way until I have assembled the desk completely. Then I went back and tightened all the screws. I would buy this desk again, but just understand that your desk may not arrive in as good a condition as mine did.Super easy to put together. Sturdy. And a good size to have room to work but still fit in smaller areas.Great desk! Easy to set up and lots of space for storage. The only thing keeping it from being a 5 star review is that one of the panels was chipped and I was missing the nuts needed to secure the support at the end. They were easy to find at the hardware store but annoying that I had to go out of my way to secure them.This desk has plenty of real estate for any computer setup along with any other devices you’d like to store on. The construction is sturdy yet basic design. I suggest you build and tighten all bolts at the end as instructed.I bought this desk to replace an old-style 20+ year old Sauder computer desk - the kind that has a roll out printer stand and filing cabinets, letter hutches, drawers for the days when computers were connected directly to printers and everything was saved in paper files and people communicated via snail mail.I love the shelves for storing the reference books that I refer to often on my computer, and for holding my cameras when I connect to the computer to download images. It has ample room for dual monitors and keeps them off the desk so I get that desk space back underneath them. There is plenty of room on the shelves for any papers/notebooks I am working with without burying the keyboard and mouse under clutter. I kind of wish the right-side shelves would have an extra optional shelf for those who no longer use a tower computer, but I still find I have plenty of space for the things I need without my workspace becoming over crowded.The desk feels well made and sturdy and all pieces arrived in perfect condition and well packed. The package came with lots of extra pieces and, in addition, an entire little bag labeled extra parts, so no worries about losing any hardware. We had quite a few mix-ups putting it together where we had to take some bars apart and switch them or flip them (and my husband who was doing most of the work is a pro at assembling things), so it wasn't the easiest to put together and all required details are not spelled out in the instructions, but eventually we figured out exactly how each piece needed to be connected.I love the modern openness of this desk. It is so easy to keep it orderly. No drawers to tempt me to stash things away and forget about them forever.I did need to order a new office chair to better suit this desk. The one in the photo is a standard chair and it is a little low for this desk - at least for my height (5'4"). I end up looking up at the monitors when they are on the shelf and my elbows are not at a 90 degree angle from the keyboard (no keyboard drawer as I was used to). So I ordered a chair that could extend a little taller than any of the existing office chairs I currently own (tried 3 of them and all were a tad short). I am temporarily using a bar stool with a back while waiting for the new office chair to arrive. I found that a seat that is 23" from the ground is about perfect for me when using this desk.I love this desk it suits me perfectly. Easy to assemble. I was able to change the higher shelves from the left side to the right side.Overall, great desk. I didnt know it was a small business so having the hand written note from the business was soo cute and im happy to support! My only complaint is it *says* easy to assemble but the instructions have no wording to make it easier. The shelves came unlabelled so that was difficult to figure out which ones go where since the top ones seem to be a bit wider than the rest of the shelves. It also would have been helpful having clear pictures of the holes in the rods OR for the instructions to indicate which way to build the rods. I ended up flipping the pieces where the cross bar goes (which is the last step) so the cross bar ended up in the front. I had to take apart the ENTIRE desk in order to reverse it and put the cross bars back on. Its not sturdy without the bars so i couldnt just say forget it and not put them on.Other than that, i love it.
