Holes do not line up and I was shorted 1 divider piece.One of the side pieces was missing the hinge on the side. Everything else was okI needed something sturdy to hold books (journals, etc.) on my desk, and this fits the bill perfectly. Lovely green color looks great, and I'm impressed with how easily it holds some of my more flexible planners. The dividers hold more weight than I expected, and the rack itself is very sturdy.I was a bit annoyed trying to put it together. They include a small Allen wrench to help, but I really needed needle-nose pliers or a second set of hands to help keep everything lined up and screwed down tightly. I managed it on my own, with just the tool provided, but it took a couple of tries to hold everything together for the first two pieces. No big deal, just something to be aware of.I recently realized that I don't have a good way of keeping my records for when I feel like putting some vinyl on the turntable. This file rack actually fits the bill nicely. While it is no doubt excellent for file folders, it is outstanding for holding records. My collection is modest, so it only filled the unit about 60%, so I put a few books I am working on in the rest of the rack. This is part of a larger effort to organize things, and no surprise, it's a good bookshelf, too.I love the sage green color it comes in as a nice break from the neutral colors things usually come in.Assembly was easy enough. They include an Allen wrench, but a pair of pliers or a small crescent wrench is all you need to get the nuts & bolts on tight. The middle uprights just slide in place, but the two ending uprights need to be fastened. Tip: they tend to attach better with the tabs placed inside of the bottom-piece rather than outside. Once it's together, that's it: six pairs of nuts & bolts, and now you have a handy place to put your journal, folders, cookbooks, manuals, magazines, or in my case, records.What a handy little product to just help me sort out my desk a little better. And it's small enough that I can easily rearrange things without a lot of fuss.I got this for my wife to use, and she loves it. She's using it in her office, and it's helping to organize the various projects she's doing for her job as an editor and IT professional.Fitted my needs to hold 6 3-ring binders perfectly so they won't lean and fall over. Strong, well made. Be attentive during assembly and if the end pieces don't line up, they may need to be reversed. Then they are fine.
